2015 Tax Return
on March 17, 2016

When entering income reported on a 1099-R, I neglected to enter the state income tax that was withheld from the income. It would be very helpful (for forgetful people like me) if you could inquire when something might be missed. Example: "Are you sure you didn't have state income tax withheld?"
What's great about it: Extremely easy to use
What's not so great: Missed state taxes paid

Thank Goodness for TurboTax!

We have used TurboTax for several years with no audit or miscalculation problems. This year, we did a close review using the IRS Tax Tables and were perplexed to find that TurboTax had calculated that we owed $600 less in federal tax than the tax table indicated. Upon checking the TT Worksheets, we learned that TT had used a Qualified Dividends and Long Term Capital Gains Worksheet to lower our tax due. We might NEVER have found that option without TurboTax. THANKS!
What's great about it: Calculates tax based on best method for you.
What's not so great: Does not follow tax form as you enter information.
