Not for any complicated returns

While TurboTax is fairly easy to use, you can run into problems with special or complicated returns. Fortunately, I had a friend that is a CPA that gave me a few tips:
Form 8606 does not populate properly if you contribute to an IRA for both tax years in the same calendar and convert to a Roth. All IRA's can be contributed to up to April 15 of the next calendar year so if you contributed the 2015 and 2016 on January 1, 2016, the software will not pick it up.
The worksheet form for AHCA does not populate correctly and may create a problem on filing.
Also, you still have to pay for e-filing the state form, even though many states do not charge for e-filing.
All in all, a bit on the clunky side.

Pain-free Product!

Turbo Tax is the safe and simple way to file your taxes...it is quick and efficient as well as accurate!
What's great about it: Appreciate the transfer of prior years to current filing...ease of editing....like the quick check of forms.
What's not so great: Should have the qualifying info before entering amount into a catagory. Such as, is it an installment or a mortgage?

Be sure to state "prior" to actual filing that you will be asked to print your full return once you have actually filed. Your screen shows print file and then at bottom shows "file return". Wound up printing everything twice.

I like the data transfers. If life doesnt change too much, this software is super user friendly.

What's not so great: Some sections were not applicable for our family

Darn! That's a big refund!

I've used Turbo tax for as long as I can remember. I believe it's been over ten years. As always, TTax walks me through everything I need, and finds items of which I was unaware. I always feel confident when I file. Keep up the good work!
P.S. I originally titled this review with a different "D" word. And TTax wouldn't let me use it. I found this amusing.
What's great about it: Easy to understand and use
What's not so great: Slow to update, but this may be my computer
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
