Fastest way of tax return.

I used Turbo Tax to do my income for fed. and state tax returned more than 10 years. I am satisfied very much to use Turbo Tax because it is easy to do your own income tax for your personel and business.
What's great about it: Quick, fast and easy.

state messed up

couldn't delete a home office I filed on my federal return. was confusing when it asked for other explanation and gave no reference to the amounts listed

Works great

I've used Turbo Tax for years - until last year. I'm back again and it works as well as it always has. I keep records for my son and this covers all I need. However, sometimes the questions asked can be misleading as to exactly what's needed. When I print out the form at the end and review it, I sometimes have to make changes. What was asked and what I understood were different. However, it covers everything and certainly beats trying to keep up with all the rule changes that happen year after year! They're far more confusing today than when I first did this back in the '60s.
What's great about it: It covers all the categories needed and then some.
What's not so great: Questions can be misleading as to exactly what's needed in some situations.

Great product

Have used this product for a few years and it keeps getting better. A little frustrating waiting for the updates and to process some things, which is ok but would be nice to have an on-screen reminder of what's happening. Nothing worse than not knowing if its working or stuck. Add a progress timer maybe.
Other than that , I find it helpful to to get thru all the tax code. Will use it again.

printing could be easier

Data entry and calculations are great. But the hassle starts when you want to quickly print a hard copy of your return. You have to go to "print", "print preview", then internet explorer pops open, then you have to select the "print" icon. Then your printer app opens and you have to select "print". WHY ISN'T THERE A SIMPLE ONE CLICK ICON TO PRINT? Why am I required to jump through hoops? And the hoops aren't even clearly marked. If you don't figure out you have to "preview" before you can print you are stuck at a dead end. Make it easier to print.
What's great about it: complete, accurate, easy to follow (mostly)
What's not so great: printing your return takes too many steps

since we already pay for the instruction and filing software, it should not cost so much to file these forms together.
