It took over 6hrs for me to do taxes this year r/t couldn't get the updates needed, finally had to manually down load the updates .Can't begin to tell how frustrated i was. I never had this many problems the
two years before and enjoyed using Turbo Tax. I will think long and hard if I use it next year. Close to tears!!! Sorry so bad a report but that is the truth.

We Love TurboTax

We Love TurboTax. We used to pay a tax accountant a ton to file our taxes, until we freed ourselves! We realized that filing via Turbotax is actually not difficult at all. We also like the audit protection purchase feature. So far we have filed last year and this year with Turbo Tax. The process has also helped us understand our taxes so much better.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions, fast tax filing process, trusted system that works well
What's not so great: Haven't found anything we don't like yet. We googled some tax terms.

feeling ripped off

I thought I had saved money by buying a digital copy, but come to find out your company just tricked me into spending more. Sure, it was written on the front that it was Federal and Efile, but I have been buying it for so many years I didn't bother to study the product. I just picked out what I usually buy and hit submit my order. If I had been in Target I would have picked up Deluxe, tossed it in my cart, and continued shopping.
FOR THE RECORD: I would have just rather paid more in the store in the first place. It was a dirty trick, but I bet you made lots and lots of money and are laughing all the way to the bank, as they say. I in turn will be telling every person who I speak to on this matter that I had used TT for years, but that I feel you ripped me off this year and I'll be talking to others about what they use and maybe make a change next year. Not because it was more expensive, but because you were sneaky about it.
Thank you for making my taxes easy again this year, but i may be reconsidering which software I purchase next year. I hear there are others.
To all the savy marketers who came up with this change...please notice that no matter how wonderful your product is, I just mostly remember feeling ripped off.

easy does it

Good software and I have used it for years and it keeps improving, I will continue using the software. I seems to be secure, haven't had any problems with it so far.
What's great about it: Like choosing where I want to go
What's not so great: During the signing up for next year to get a code it logged me off of the program had to use two windows for email etc.

The process was easy as usual until I tried to transmit the returns. I was told I have an error on a state form I never filled out or even claimed. After many hours of attempting to correct the error I called the help center where I spoke with a very helpful and friendly representative who walked me though the fix. After that I was able to complete the return.
What's great about it: Customer Service
What's not so great: Software glitch

I have been using this program for 13 years with never an audit. I always highly recommend it to others.
What's great about it: Easy to use, even for those of us who are not very computer literate.
What's not so great: A long process if you have a complex terurn.

Overall rating 4.5. 2015 form was not as clear than the 2014 form.
What's great about it: Clarity of questions
What's not so great: Difficult to change or edit numbers manual, this was easier with previous Turbo Tax returns

I would highly recommend Turbo Tax for everyone to simply complete their taxes at home and send them in from their own comfort zone of their home.
What's great about it: It's easy to use right from the comforts of your own home and it is easy to complete for people who don't do accounting.
What's not so great: I don't have any cons because even if I have questions, this program provides answers.
