Very Thorough and Professional

I've used TurboTax Deluxe for more than 20 years. I've always appreciated the thoroughness and professionalism of their review methodology. Over the years, my taxes have become more and more complex, but TurboTax has never failed to be on top of any complexity issues, whether it be mine, IRS, or a combination of both. I've never used a professional person to do my taxes and I fail to see how they could do it any better or easier than TurboTax.
What's great about it: User Friendliness of the program
What's not so great: Price could be a bit cheaper.

Problems using TurboTax

TurboTax would not allow me to file the state return electornically due to errors with the state withholdings in box #12 entered the "State tax withheld and box #14 State distribution being entered as $0.00. The box #14 needed to be blank for the program to process the state return electronically. I'd think that $0.00 is the same as "blank."
What's great about it: Ease of following questions.
What's not so great: Problem with State return.

Problem solved

For three years I have used turbo tax with no problems. This year I made a error entering Employers EIN and the forms were rejected due to this issue. The solution was handled with turbo tax soft ware. I did not have to pick up the phone. I made the correction, resubmitted and now I am waiting for the results.
What's great about it: Had a entry problem after forms submitted

NOT Windows 10 friendly

We had to reload the program onto a Windows 8 computer to get the program to update and finish our taxes. Very frustrating this year.
What's great about it: Easy to understand
What's not so great: Frustrating to not do updates

Love TurboTax

I have used TurboTax for 6 years. It just keeps getting better each year.
What's great about it: Very simple, the software leads you through the process.
What's not so great: This years version seemed a little more confusing than 2014.

What's great about it: WITH THE NECESSARY DATA IN HAND, TT WILLGET YOU THROUGH THE TAX MAZE
What's not so great: ONLY TROUBLE SPOT WAS PROCESSING INTERNATIONAL TAXES--RESOLVED BY DIRECT ENTRY TO FORM.
