What's great about it: step by step and easy to go back
What's not so great: in the review area no explination like there is during the filing process

All in all it is easy to use. I love the ability to import from QuickBooks, this makes everything go faster. The Federal is great. I have a little more trouble with the State. Sometimes it asks for items to be completed, but I don't have a choice of what I need. Like country of incorporation...United States is not an option, yet it shows up as an error...I left Not applicable and it finally took it.
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: A little confusing at times (State filing)

LA State has errors!

In General the same good performance as expected. However the LA return information and Calculations of Percentages of state applied income and assets is wrong. One state = 100% not 100.59%. Ultimately the forms calculated an over all % of 84.% instead of 100. The possible method of how that could be,

What's great about it: I like it transfers Almost all the needed data from Fed to State.
What's not so great: Does not enter State specific income or calculate the Percentage properly

first time 1041 trust tax return

Interview process very straight forward and uncomplicated just like personal Turbo Tax programs. However, a simple "federal review" error code wherein the IRS requires a special name code for trusts to use e-file required a call to the help line. The answer was a link to an IRS document that explained the process. This link could have been provided in the program as an "explain this" feature to save time and aggravation. Help line was very helpful so use it if you must. Final review said I needed to print and mail a document to complement my e-file but the print link said it could not create needed pdf...not sure how this will work out since I had no problem creating pdf required to sign return. I definitely recommend Turbo Tax for trust returns to save hundreds of dollars in professional fees for very simple document preparation.
What's great about it: Interview process identical to individual 1040 returns
What's not so great: No "tips and tricks" available to guide a novice
