Turbo Tax is easy to use with the question format, but hate that when needing to talk to a human being, that is not a very easy thing to do with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: hard to speak to a human if a problem arises

S-Corp Return

TurboTax for s-corps is fairly simple to use. After having my returns done by a CPA for many years, my business declined to a point the cost of a CPA was just not feasible, but with my old returns as reference I was able to file my own returns using TurboTax.
What's great about it: Saves me money vs. using a CPA for my very small company
What's not so great: I always get lost when I get to the print the return windows - very confusing

Much easier than expected

I tried to do the estate taxes with pen and paper, but gave up after working all day on them. I made arrangements to meet with an estate tax accountant, but the day before my appointment, I went online to see if there was any estate tax return preparation software available. When I saw Turbo Tax had one, I researched and ultimately purchased Turbo Tax Business.
I know I saved at least $500 doing the return myself and I trust the return's accuracy. Thank you Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Same Turbo Tax style and interface
What's not so great: Doesn't flow as easily from one section to another
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I expected more for the price

This is a review of the Business package for corporations and partnerships. We are primarily an investment partnership, so we have numerous 1099's to enter. The process is non-intuitive and certainly not helpful. What's even more infuriating is that these software tools for 1099's are ALREADY in the personal packages!!!! Cut us a break and make it easier to input or download brokerage statements!
What's great about it: what was there worked well
What's not so great: could have been much easier
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Much Improved - Still a ways to go

This is the first year I didn't have to manually make changes to my simple trust forms to correct mistakes. I'm dying though when I have to pull out my old PC and pray that it will still work. They really need to get this product working on the MAC platform!
What's great about it: Pre-loaded information is extremely helpful and time-saving
What's not so great: Not available for MAC

I entered tax exempt income and later foud it was removed or erased. I do't know how that happened and the same problem happened last year. I think you have a bug someplace. This is on the Home and Business package using the 1065 form

Another Year

I have been using the Personal Return edition for about 10 years...the Small Business version for five to manage returns for a small, Property Rental business. Business edition is a little pricey, but effective.
What's great about it: Easy, Multiple Choice and Fill In Forms
What's not so great: A little cumbersome on some terms
