Love TurboTax. Wish I could use on Mac.

Really love TurboTax. My only complaint is that the TurboTax Business Software that I need to file our LLC Partnership taxes is NOT available to download to a MAC computer. Otherwise I would certainly give them five stars.
What's great about it: Easy to use, helpful instructions
What's not so great: Not available for Mac

E-File did not work as it did not include the pdf of signature page like it was supposed too, and the import from Quick Books failed and corrupted the QB file. I had to use a backup copy. Never had this problem before and I have used Intuit products for many years.
What's great about it: Easy step helps alot
What's not so great: E-File did not work as it did not include the pdf of signature page like it was supposed too.

Good program. Does a good job of working preparer through all the filing areas. Two complaints.
Rounding. I was off one dollar because of rounding. TT should help preparer find best way to account for these $1 dollar differences. I had to go back in and adjust my equity stake by $1. Otherwise it was putting all sorts of things into my return (like a partner loan( that did not belong there.
Section 195B election. This was an initial return. It kept wanting me to file Form 195 B for start up expenses. But, it would never take me to the exact location where I could modify that election and I could not get Form 195B to print. so very frustrating.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to get through
What's not so great: A coupoe of annoying glitches

I love the software. It is easy to navigate and I like how much money I saved from not using an accountant.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I had to file not only our 1040, but as the executor of an estate, a 1041 for the estate. I don't know what I would have done without Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: This walked me through the whole process - so I didn't miss anything!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Partnership - Different distributions vs ownership

This software was exceptional to follow. We are a partnership with differing payment % than ownership. It was able to handle without any issue. Unfortunately, it does not sync with sister product Quickbooks online. It requires an offline license for this. Not bad, just needed to know this ahead of time. Easy form generation and filing. NICELY DONE and highly recommended.
What's great about it: Exceptionally easy to follow the info
What's not so great: Unfortunately does not sync with QuickBooks Online.

There are too many software bugs.

Here are the problems I encountered: 1. One of my companies has shareholders who invested money from their personal funds as well as IRA's. These are captured as two separate investors with the same SS#. When printing the individual form K-1's the program fails. So, I can't get an individual form K-1 in PDF format. 2. One of my companies has a Canadian investor. I couldn't file electronically because this investor lacked a SS#. But, he is Canadian and is listed as a foreigner. Again, this should have not caused this error. 3. One of my companies couldn't file electronically because an error kept saying that my company ID had changed and was rejected by the state. So, I had to print and mail instead. There was no change to the ID. And no way around this bug.
What's great about it: The software will work if you tweak it enough.
What's not so great: It just has too many software bugs
