Corporate returns

I have worked with turbo tax for many years and find it easy on the personals but the s-corp returns would be difficult for someone without accounting background. But I think that would be expected. What I like because I do have the background is the forms and walk through work together. What I do not like is the fact that I can't e file them without a lot of tedious prep. Minnesota does not even accept them through e file. The professional version of another software did allow it so I wonder if TurboTax will ever make it as simple as hitting the efile button.
What's great about it: Easy if you have bookkeeping and accounting knowledge
What's not so great: Efile is not easy

This program is the one I use every year, it's easy to do, and imports all my information from my business and personal accounts every year, so I can compare and see where I might have missed something, so I know to double check problem areas. It is very convenient to have all the data be transferred for me.
What's great about it: Easy step by step instructions with helpful explanations throughout
What's not so great: can be time consuming cause I had to read all the explanations, but that isn't turbotax's fault

All went well except the odd bits

2 small errors: A zero in a line that was suggested to be left blank resulted in an error code. The final review passed w/o errors after the zero was deleted. A little worse was the date error that printed the previous year on the signature line rather than the filing date. The filing date was accurately printed elsewhere in the tax form.
What's great about it: Carries over amortization, deductions, & auto calculates
What's not so great: Little things were off, but nothing big was noticed.

E-filing
on April 1, 2016

I have 6 returns to file. When I tried to file the 6th return, I was advised that I could not. I went back to the original case the program came in and nowhere was there any indication as to the limit of only filing 5.
Furthermore, I was directed to the site where I could buy a program that allowed me to file 20 returns. Cleary that is far more than I need.
I am disappointed that there was no reasonable choice between E-filing 5 and 20 returns.
What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: only 5 are allowed.

Working very well, and not a lot of changes that I have to relearn from last year.
What's great about it: Handles oil and gas better
What's not so great: Page 6 (final page) of current year depreciation schedule didn't have 2015 new assets

Help for the Uninformed
on April 2, 2016
Posted by: JeanIngels
I love the ease of Turbo Tax, the help available over the phone and the fact I don't need to know about tax code to prepare an unfamiliar tax form. However, I also love seeing my 1040 state populated other than a few items. I was really, really disappointed that the TurboTax for Corps, Parts, Trusts and Estates didn't include my state. It should have been disclosed on cover.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Didn't inform that my state return was included
