Thanks for another great year!

This is my second year of self-preparing my business taxes. Previously, I was paying thousands of dollars for an accountant to prepare my documents. I was not well informed in regards to the tax laws or the available deductions. Now, by preparing my own taxes, I feel that I am well informed and have even been able to provide guidance to others who are in the process of getting their taxes done. I could not be more pleased with the process. I did have a few questions, which were promptly answered by the Turbo Tax staff. Several peers posted responses to my questions as well. It's great to see so many business owners involved in preparing (and understanding) their own taxes.
What's great about it: Easy, intuitive, excellent peer and professional support
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Surprised less time to prepare

A little disappointed

I have used Turbo Tax for my personal taxes for years and have been super happy with them. This is the first year I had to do my business taxes and the program was not at ALL like the personal program! When I clicked on "explain this" it just restated the question with very little added info. Also, it pushed for the community help, but there was only one time that I actually found the question I was asking. If it was more like the other Turbo Tax programs, I would be fine. By the way, I'm still planning to use Turbo Tax for my personal taxes this year... so I'm complaining, but not letting go of a good thing!
What's great about it: the support staff were super patient and helpful!
What's not so great: i had to rely on the support staff a lot because the "help" was no help.

EASY TO USE

I am a retired CPA but still preparing my son's business tax return. This is the first year I used Turbo Tax after using professional software for many years. I was surprised by the ease of use of Turbo Tax, the transfer of information from QuickBooks and the detailed explanations. The only thing I didn't like was that I was unable to sign as non paid preparer. If this were possible, I would be able to be the designee in case of communication from the IRS. Overall, I was very pleased with this software.
What's great about it: Easy to use, detailed explanations
What's not so great: Non paid preparer

Easy, Quick and very user friendly

I bought the wrong program. Had to start over. My Turbo would not download with the new Windows 10.
Support patiently walked me through the process with a smile and kindness. Thanks Gina! Got it done and breezed through the second program. My headaches are over and I loved the ease of using this program-Business.

Turbo Tax Program

I still do not know my password to get into my program. It saves it but if I try to use another computer to go into the program it says my password is wrong and the reset feature just sends me in circles to send an email then I click reset and it sends another email. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM IN TURBO TAX. FIX IT!!!!!! Also the State program would not open and since I can't get in on another computer I could not file my State return today on time and I AM BUMMED. I hate that there is Not a phone number to call for help in time like this it stinks!
What's great about it: Easy to use accurate
What's not so great: Password reset is not working I could not open the State program
