IT IS CRAZY THAT INFORMATION STILL NEEDS TO BE MANUALLY ENTERED FROM TURBO TAX ONLINE. ALSO YOU HAVE NOT INVESTED ALOT IN HELPING PEOPLE CORRECT ERROR IN THE STATE RETURNS WHEN THINGS ARE OUT OF BALANCE. IT MAKE IT VERY HARD TO WORK WITH.

Watch Your Assets

I've been using TurboTax for many, many years and overall love the product. The system pretty easily migrates data from the prior year return and the question-and-answer format, along with links to FAQs and on-line help, are often spot-on.
The past couple of years I've run into a little bug when it comes to entering and modifying fixed assets. The system seems to choke on the question-and-answer side if you have more than about 100 assets associated with the return. While 100 assets might sound like a lot to some people, when you think about it it's not really too many if you are tracking your assets the way tax preparers and the IRS suggest. My particular business is a small apartment building of about 20 units. I track about 5 standard assets per unit: flooring, water heater, stove, HVAC and remodeling. In addition I have assets associated with the building itself as well as tools & equipment.
To update my asset register, I'm now using the form entry mode to add and/or retire assets. It works but I'd rather use the question-and-answer side of the product.
Other than this one 'capacity' issue, I'm quite happy with the product.
What's great about it: Guide-Me Feature is Always Helpful
What's not so great: More than 100 Assets - Product can choke

Worked really well.

It took me less time to complete than prior years. The return is not a complicated one, but this was smooth and easy to complete.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

turbo tax

I don't like your last page. Make it easier to print for mail. Make it easier to print a copy. I didn't get a payment voucher for CA for $817 that I owe.
What's great about it: Using Turbo tax is a tremendous help.
What's not so great: It was not clear enough about labor to make the product. I put salaries there at first. Then it asked for salaries .

Good product, but not perfect

Overall, TurboTax Business works well. There are still some bugs regarding recourse and non-recourse debt and other items in the balance sheet portion.
What's great about it: Third year, but still find items that are hard to correct or change, such as date to print on the final return.
What's not so great: Help rarely gives good responses or links to the keywords in the question asked.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

YOU MAKE LIFE EASIER!

I've used Turbo Tax for almost 40 years in two different countries and I love it! This is a great program for personal and business taxes alike. I'm a small C corporation and Turbo Tax saves me time, makes it easy for me to do, and saves me the cost of having someone else prepare my taxes. I love it and I will be back over and over again. Thanks!
What's great about it: Ease with which program works; helps me through the procedure; audits what I've done
What's not so great: Nothing really. I've used Turbo Tax for over 25 years

Deserved to pay taxes

Did my back taxes (2014, 2015) in less than three hours. Taught me to be more careful how I characterize the expenses. Will use again for 2016 when it becomes available.
What's great about it: clear instructions, straight forward entries

I've used Turbo Tax for our S Corp, Trust and Personal Returns -- and have saving thousands in tax prep fees! Turbo Tax has very easy to follow step by step directions whether you are preparing a simple return or a return with a few more complicated issues. I recommend it to everyone
