Got it Done!

I use the downloadable version instead of the online version and the website is only setup for online filing. Very frustrating to start doing taxes. Once you can find the downloads, everything goes fairly smoothly. The program is very user friendly for all standard transactions and provides excellent help if you aren't sure. It is challenging for any non-standard transactions though. You pretty much need to know which form you need to input the information on and go. All in all, the Turbo tax business makes the job of doing taxes as pain-free as possible. I will continue to be a user!
What's great about it: Fairly user friendly
What's not so great: Website - impossible to find the downloadable version, unusual items not user friendly

Used TTax for Business for a Trust 1041 Filing

I used TTax for Business to file a 1041 for the familiy trust. It performed the calculations as expected. However, TTax for Business is unable to import dividend, interest and stock sale information from investment houses, so the data had to be inputed manually. Initially, I used "Home & Business", & the first TTax customer service rep indicated that I could transfer the imported data to TTax for Business. That is not the case. Also, there is no TTax for Business to complete UT state tax filing. If TTax created a product just for filing "simple" family trust tax returns, that would be ideal. I did not use most of the features of TTax Business.
What's great about it: Performs calculations as Expected
What's not so great: Unable to import financial data from investment houses; no UT state TTax available

What's great about it: Ease for input
What's not so great: some promblems with entering data. Operator error (LOL)
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Reimbursed travel meals

I am a government contractor that travels and my travel expenses are reimbursed. I was confused for years where to enter my expenses for meals when I travel. I found the spot this year and balanced for the first time ever. Turbo Tax, please expand the area for reimbursed travel expenses to make it more clear.

make a version that runs on Mac where all my financial data reside.
What's great about it: unfortunateluy, the only game in town
What's not so great: no Mac version and I hate WIndows and the PC I had to buy for ONLY this reason.

I needed help on how to file an irrevocable trust with the Federal Gov. as well as the state of CA. I got the answers I needed. The phone expert knew what I needed, provided the answer and then sent me a follow up email with detailed information on what we discussed. Great Service!
