I bought this last month for my moms birthday because she really wanted one , but the remote doesn't work & I lost the receipt so I can't exchange it .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It came with a ton of free trials and I can watch so much more than just Netflix now. I bought this to replace my Xbox 360, and I'm so happy I did!

Love the remote

Just when I thought things couldn't be any better than Chromecast. Boy! I was wrong. Simple thing like remote is really super nice instead of having to depend on the phone to remote the TV, especially if it being charged. It got way more channel selection than Chromecast.. Easy to setup, but bit of pain at first to use arrow button for username and password at first.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great gadget

I would not have bought an expensive smart tv if I had bought this roku before. It does most of what I want to do for a lot less money. Very simple to install: plug and play! I use it in my bedroom with a regular tv. Very pleased with it.

teenagers love it for youtube, catching up on movies and shows. very easy to install and ready for streaming. cable bill stays low with the owned ROKU vs cable box

Stick not as good as box

We have gone through two of these in one year-the second is "acting up". The box lasted way longer--even after getting dropped from the shelf a couple of times.
