Great way to break free from cable

I bought this with reluctance. My landlord decided to cut cable tv and we were at a loss of what to do. But after talking to a sales rep at my local Best Buy it was encouraging to us to try this. We still miss regular tv but this puts US in control of our tv not the other way around. No need for a DVR because you watch tv on your terms with this Roku. The only complaint that I have is that when you do end up watching a commercial it seems to be the same one over and over.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Compact and out of sight

I have other Rokus but love this version because it is easy to use, compact and easy to take with me. I may get an extra one just for my briefcase.
I have tried other similar devices, but Roku seems to have a better and more up to date selection of apps

Easy to install and use

Bought this to complement Roku 2 on LR TV. Don't use it as often as I thought I would, but for the price, it's worth it to have on both my TVs. Roku is a great product to maximize options of viewing - now if I can just get rid of my HIGH cable TV bill which I'm locked into for another year. Roku is the future of TV viewing!

Requires Patience

Love the features. Easy to use. I purchased my first one and loved it, bought a second one and when using the remote it just seems to take off flying through the channels. I returned thinking it was defective but the next one does exactly the same thing. My husband hated it so went out and bought now a fourth one which also does the same thing. Very disappointed. Evidently your improving things has only made them worse. So would I recommend? If you have the patience to deal with the remote going crazy then yes it's features are fantastic. Please fix your remote.

good device but not competitively priced

I like the stick and am happy with it. My only gripes are the price in comparison to another device brand which gives better hardware and a more crisp UI for less. Also I am not pleased to have had to purchase it just to get the updated netflix app bc roku would not update roku 2.
