Works Great

We gave our original Roku (1) to our daughter and replaced it with the Roku USB stick and we have found this new Roku to be easy to set up and useful in operation. We did have some difficulty with speed when we first set it up. We were using the wall plug for power but after reading the instructions again we found that it worked much better and faster by plugging the power cord into a USB port on the TV - problem solved.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very unhappy

I was really excited to get my daughter a roku for her room.. She was so happy to have in her room. A week after I got roku the remote stopped working. I looked online to trouble shoot and nothing worked. I am very upset because I threw away my receipt and box and now I can not exchange. I am stuck w a device that I can not even use

The roku is great except the remote has not worked since about a month after purchase. I must use the roku app on my phone to operate the streaming stick.

Makes the TV smart!

I have had my Roku stick for a little over a month now. For the most part it works great. I have had a lot of trouble with the remote since I got it. Keep playing with the batteries, but still won't work most of the time. I have downloaded the app to my phone and kindle so I use that most of the time as the remote. The Roku offers the streaming apps I use like Sling. It is a little slow sometimes with Sling but I don't have a problem at all streaming things like Netflix, so it could be the app or my internet. I had already purchased a smart TV that had Roku built in and I will have to say that runs a little smoother than the stick, but the stick is a lot cheaper way to go, especially for TVs you already have.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku is an excellent streaming device, as my favorite services (Netflix, Hulu, Rdio, etc.) are all in the same place! As entertainment is increasingly becoming a-la-cart, it is nice to have a place to gather all of this media in one device, so I don't have to have my tablet, computer, and tv going at the same time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My kids love it!

We decided to give up cable in January of 2015 and after much research we settled in the roku stick. It was so easy to use the kids each have one in their rooms, we have one in our room and finally bought one for the living room. Roku is so much easier than using the Xbox for streaming and we can all watch something different at the same time. New channels are added constantly so there is plenty to view.

I bought my stick about a month ago and not so happy with it. I also have the Roku 3 and I love it.
