Wish I Had Bought a Roku2

I already own a Roku2 and love it so when I wanted to buy a Roku for my new second tv I thought I would try the Roku stick.
My Stick came with a defective remote with direction arrow keys that would stick. Sometimes it would just stop working entirely. Roku promptly sent me a new replacement remote.
Now the arrow keys on my new remote control sometimes stick. When I first use the remote I always have to press the OK key 2 or 3 times to get it to wake up and activate Roku. I don't have any confidence in it.
The remote on the Roku2 uses infrared. The remote on the Stick uses radio waves. You're supposed to be able to point it anywhere but it seems to be just as directional as the infrared Roku2.
I'll take the Roku2 any day over the stick!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Value For The Money!

I bought this a couple weeks ago so the kids could watch youtube videos on the tv so they would stop fighting over the tablet. Im very happy with how easy it was to install. It plugs right into the tv and after a couple minutes of set up the possibility of things to watch is endless. Also allows me to watch Netflix on our tv in the family room. Great Value and easy to use.

Easy to use and great features

I've been very happy with the Roku stick. I have two now. There are many options to get entertainment. Its easy to setup up and connect all of my accounts, like Netflix and Hulu.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Much slower than my Roku 3. Menu navigation, app startup, etc were all noticeably slow. No ethernet, WiFi only. My recommendation - spend a few bucks more and get a real Roku.

I have three streaming sticks in my house, I am getting rid of cable so the cable boxes are replaced with Roku.

I love everything about this but the remote control which is so basic and clunky to use, it's worthless. I would have paid more money for the streaming stick (which I love) and an upgraded remote. I've downloaded the remote app onto my phone and use that instead.
