Great alternative to cable

I enjoy using this as it is saving me money on my cable bill. I enjoy the streaming of live television (shopping channels) but I do not like when it stops and asks me if I am still watching the program. If it is on, I'm watching it...Otherwise it is a good product.

The way of the Future!

After reviewing my cable bill I realized I was paying over 2 thousand in just equipment fees and taxes over 24 months. I scrapped cable and replaced with Roku the whole house!

Some issues with freezing video

I like the Roku interface and bought a streaming stick because I have another Roku TV. The stick seems to freeze more than the TV. This is not a huge problem in most instances (streaming Hulu or Amazon Prime), but it is a problem when watching Sling TV. I suspect the Sling TV issues may be on Sling's end though. This is something that Roku should investigate with Sling because it reflects badly on Roku's product.

Great size and portability

I like the size and portability of this unit. It works great. Remote takes a split second to respond; don't know why. Once it's setup, just plug and play.

Had chromecast and Apple TV this stick is the best thing I ever bought I cut the cable off saving 80 bucks a month plus way more choices

Very slow to load and videos freeze

I bought this for our family room TV and we've since unplugged it -- it takes sometimes 1/2 hour to load videos and movies. Our modem and router are top-of-the-line, and work great with our Roku3 (which we LOVE!), but the 'Stick' just falls very short of our expectations and the hype. Hopefully a future stick will fix the problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
