Great product, I love that you can have different accounts on Netflix and this device allows you to select which profile you want on startup. It does require a power supply so keep that in mind if you are planning to use on a wall mounted TV.
Overall I love the device, my only problems is that sometimes it loops commercials and last scenes and sometimes it freezes and I have to unplug it or take the batteries out and put them back in
I am very happy that I bought this ROKU Streaming Stick. However, I am disappointed that I can not get some shows that I like, i.e., A&E First 48 Hours without having cable. If I was able to afford the cable, I would not have bought the ROKU Streaming Stick.
Purchased at big box retailer. Opened it in the car to find the remote was not in the box. Doesn't work without remote. After returning and getting another with all the parts, it says "remote is synced to the Roku stick" It was not. No instructions with unit on how to sync the two. Went online and found a blogger that told where to find the hidden "sync" button on remote. Followed those instructions and has worked fine. Channels that you subscribe to work best. The so called "free" channels sometimes have 4 or 5 30 second commercials in a row that interrupt every 5 minutes or so. Pretty hard to get into a movie like that.
Got the Roku stick with a sling tv subscription. After a bit of a lengthy set up, the remote pretty much stopped working. I'm able to use the app on my phone to get it going and the stick works great with the phone app. Remote won't " wake up" after a period of inactivity-even if I remove the batteries and try to restart. I've heard this is a common problem.
