Have to use remote on app

The player works pretty well. Some apps are slower to load than others. The ESPN app and Sling TV doesn't allow you to watch monday night football which stinks for guys. My biggest concern is the remote which randomly stops working. I find myself switching over to the app to control the roku. A PLUS to whoever invented that app as its great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great quality for price

I brought roku hd stick a month ago and it streams great. Although it connects Netflix a little longer than my roku 1 player and television, itdoes connect to hulu and other channels fast. Once its connected, it works like a champ.

Remote problems!

The Roku is OK. It sucks that you have to pay for subscriptions for every app, so you pay for the Roku and don't really get anything free with it. Plus, our remote hardly works! You have to repeatedly take the batteries out and put them back in (and yes, I've tried different batteries).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After using my daughters Roku in her new apartment I purchased 2 Streaming Sticks for our home. Great flexibility and easy to use. Haven't even scratched the surface to everything that's available and looking forward to exploring the channels.

remote has problems.

i like it when it workks but the remote light stays on and eats battery life quickly. like every 2 days. also it loses connection and i have to reset it alot. bought two roku each from different sites and have same problem. my old roku 2 did not do this.

I love that you can just plug it into the Usb on the back of the tv with no additional wires. Easy setup and no streaming problems.
