Easy setup but SUPER SLOW!

I have had this about a month. It was great that I could just plug it into the usb port of my TV without the need for any additional cables, and it doesn't take up space. What I am unhappy about is how slow everything is. I sometimes press a button and have to wait 10 seconds for a response. It is aggrivating when I turn on the TV press the home button and just sit and wait to get a menu screen, then have to wait again just to begin to get to the channel that I want. When navigation is this slow, it takes a while just to actually use the ROKU for what I want. If this slow speed is representative of other ROKU systems, I wouldn't recommend the product even though it works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

good & bad features

I think it is very good for movies and TV shows, but I'm very disappointed in the fact that I was not able to directly sign up for a lot of the sport networks without subscribing to them on cable or satellite. If you buy this stick for sports it is a waist of time. You still have to have cable or satilite to receive the sports. BTN and NFL are good examples. I haven't even been able to find NASCAR. The next question depends on the reason for buying the product.

We saw how much we were spending on cable and channels we never watched. Cable would not cut their price so we cut the cord. We now enjoy watching the channels we really watch without supporting all the other ones we never watched. The only reason the Roku stick did not receive an excellent (5 stars) review was I wish the stick had the same type of remote as the Roku3 does. The headphone jack is a great option when you want to watch something and your bride wants to sleep.

I was streaming movies from my laptop to my TV with a USB cord before getting the Roku Stick. All I have to say is that my life has been changed forever! Why had I not gotten this a long time ago?!! Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. all consolidated into one menu! Praise the Lawd!
