Remote stopped after 1 day

My remote stopped working after 1 day of use. I've switched batteries twice and tried using the reconnect button inside the battery cover, which worked twice but now totally unresponsive. The remote itself also appears to have been a used product before I received it with scuff marks on it. I have to resort to using the apps on my phones to use the stick... good thing this was free and used in the garage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

- love being able to watch netflicks and you tube on my tv as well as the other features
- dont love when the system hangs and it stalls when trying to access movie selection on netflicks or some of the other movie chanels

I have had my Roku streaming stick for nearly a year. I have recommended this to a number of my friends. The selection of programs available has far exceeded what I was told I could expect. For me, this has taking television viewing to a whole new level.

Good Deal

Purchased the Roku Stick a few weeks ago and it works ok. Had some issues with it "freezing" and not responding to the remote. Rebooted, played with the batteries, has worked since then.
The sticks additional width forced a switch from the original TV we wanted to use it on to another unit.
Minor issues, all is well.

Locks up sometimes and have to unplug it and plug it back in. But, still a lot cheaper then cable!

It works well at home and is so small you can easily take it with you on the road. Most hotels & motels have flat screen tv's and wifi, just plug it in and enjoy
