When we first got the roku everything connected and worked great but about a month in the Netflix had trouble logging in. Then it wouldn't log in at all. It kept saying the password was different than the one they had so we checked on our other devices and it worked. It still won't let us long in and when I tried to make a different netflix account it didn't work either.
The Stick was offered with a 3 mos. commitment to SlingTV (I was seeking month to month access to ESPN and SEC football). Stick is simple but balky. Sometimes/often it doesn't respond to a click of the remote. I often have to fiddle with it to be sure I get the broadcast I want. I have to wait 10-60+ seconds for the game to load. Sometimes starting the game gets 'stuck'; I have to switch to another game and back to the one I want. Gaps in game broadcast randomly occur, even with a 25Mb data subscription. I know this may be due to SlingTV itself, but I don't experience these problems when I run the Sling app on my iPad or laptop.
I travel a good bit for work and now I do not leave home with out it. This offer me the ability to view my shows on my time. I can t say enough good things about it.
I bought this for our second home and am satisfied with it overall. It would not receive the Wi-Fi on our balcony but did work in the living room. Admittedly, the WiFi signal is weak on the balcony so I can say with any certainty that it was the stick's fault. It is small enough to take with you on trips. However, it barely fit in the port due to the TV design. It's a good product and is easy to use. I also have a Roku 2 and a TV with a built in Roku.
Everything that was promised. Easy to install. Easy to navigate menu. Pick only what you want to watch. Channel choices that are not found elsewhere. I don't miss the hassle picking through of hundreds of channels that I would never watch AND I definitely don't miss the outrageous monthly cable or satellite bills for channels I never watch.
