Good features; bad design.

I have an older Roku 2 that works great, so when I needed another streaming device for another television, I chose the streaming stick. It is faster and has a better interface than the older Roku 2, but the HDMI plug and the smaller power port both are loose and have intermittent connectivity. I wish the stick had a more durable design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works Like a Charm!

Using the Roku attached to my wireless internet it the best thing that could happen in our household. With Dish my husband was always complaining about the percentage of commercial time compared to actual show time. Now - no complaints and he still has access to so many program choices he'll never be able to watch them all.

For me the ROKU stick is the perfect product. I think this is the best product I have purchased in a long time. Love the features and the links, especially to Netflix. The only thing I miss is being able to bring in the CNBC GOP debates. Oh well, can't have everything. Thanks for a great product.

I bought a month and a half ago and glad I did. Favorite apps are Netflix, Hulu, Go Pro, Red Bull, and I have a couple of local news channels too.

Dependence on providers

When I got the Roku stick, I was under the impression that I could replace my U-verse with it. I was wrong. I actually would need to get U-verse again to view some of my favorite programming. I do enjoy some of the many independent channels, however. I just had higher expectations in terms of Roku being a service provider.
