Awesome alternative to cable!

We have 2 streaming sticks. The product concept is amazing. The price is good considering it's features and all. However, the quality is frustrating. One remote is not very responsive at times. One remote likes to lose signal and can sometimes take awhile to get connected as well as the system itself connecting to our wifi randomly. The Roku app used to be my saving grace but now a couple features with it doesnt work properly as far as using my phone keyboard to type vs arrowing to select letters with the roku remote. Overall the product is awesome ... i just hate how it seems to be like a cell phone. Bugs randomly and after about a year it starts having troubles and isnt as functional. For such a simple setup, I expect it to work like new for longer than a year. I dont use anything but netflix and youtube. I do like how it delivers a ton of optional programs to sign up for, for versatility. I wish it was able to stream local channels somehow though. I also wosh it could offer the playstation store. We have movies on there but can only watch them on the tv with the PS3 hooked up. Would like the ability to connect personal preference stuff. Also wish I could bluetooth my phone to it to show anything on my phone on the screen. Not just pictures. Even that process isnt totally user friendly. Overall a good product and happy with it.

I received a Roku stick when I purchased Sling TV and it is about the worst product I have ever purchased.

When I first got it, had no trouble.
Now it seems to have a mind of its own.
Seems it cannot find my home network. Nothing has changed I am aware of.

It's okay for what it does

I purchased my Roku stick about a year and a half ago. I use it daily to watch Netflix or Hulu because I don't pay for cable. I've enjoyed using it, but the user experience isn't ideal. It is slow, the remote doesn't always work when I first start up the device, and sometimes the device freezes or doesn't start correctly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We finally bought the Roku sticks for each of my girls' rooms. They absolutely love them and can finally watch what they want without fighting. Our whole family loves that we each have some sort of Roku and whenever going to each other's houses can pick up where we left off on any movie, show, listening to music, and more.

I switched to Roku and am so glad I did. I have found so many choices that I didn't get using the fire stick. I am recommending Roku to everyone.

We don't watch a lot of TV, but this has some interesting things we can watch whenever we want to. It's also nice to be able to watch programs for kids for my grandson.
That said, the controller eats batteries for some reason.
