A great alternative to Cable and Satellite.

I purchased this as part of a package with an internet TV package. It works great, other than being finicky about power. It won't power from USB on our reciever or TV, it would crash during setup. After putting it on the included 110v to USB adapter it set up fine. My wife and I watched some HGTV and a few other things and have loved it so far. It streams clear, looks great on a 40" LCD and never buffered or lost quality. I'm curious to get a Roku4 now.

Great for a guest bedroom!

Sure, it's not as good as its bigger siblings, but for a guest bedroom that hardly ever gets used, it's a fantastic ROI. They will definitely be pleased to have something like that for their stay. The only slight hiccups I ran into were occasional minor delays (anywhere from less than a second to just over a second) from the remote to the stick.

The remote doesn't communicate well at all.

We've had the streaming stick for about 2 months now. Streaming is fine. The problem is the how the remote communicates with the stick. We may have a dud, but many times inputs will not match up with what you want on menus. This got so annoying, we just quit using it all together.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am amazed at how easy the set-up process was with our new Roku streaming stick and it is also very easy to use. We are absolutely loving all of the TV shows and movies that we have instant access to! We have recommended this product to all of our friends and family!
