King of Streaming Devices

Being that Google and Amazon are at odds and you can't have Amazon Instant on Google and vice versa, the Roku is the only adult in the room.
With the Roku everyone's app is invited to the party. With it, you get a lot of freebies like a month free of HBO Now and Showtime Anytime and many others.
The only downside is the price is a bit more than say a Chromecast but I'm thinking that's because you actually have a remote. It's not as fast as I would like but not laggy to the point of aggravation.
By and large, it's a very good product and I'll be buying another one for another room.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does not work

My stick broke and the roku turns on and off. and the control constantly turns off/runs out of battery. Any reason why?

We have to open the back and remove the battery somehow the CONTROLLER STOP WORKING ? The rest is perfect except the Tv Controller

I've owned several Roku's since they first hit the market. To me, it's the greatest invention in the history of Television. I'm a Roku Owner for Life.

NO MORE CABLE BILL! I have 3 Rokus, & have gotten them for friends & everyone in my family. The streaming stick is small, inexpensive, & user friendly. I love this little thing.

Overall not a bad way to watch your favorite movies, tv shows. Just don't understand why you need a subscription and the need to pay for certain channels or need to log in to your regular cable provider. Obviously, that's why I bought the roku, was to eliminate a cable bill.
