I really can't praise Roku enough. I don't have to pay the high cost of cable. This is a one time purchase and you choose what you want to pay for. I will never be a cable customer again!

We have had our Roku for maybe a month now. In that time we have had so much trouble with the connection. Almost every time we want to use it we have to unplug it and reset because the remote will not work or it is frozen. I like having it and it gives us a lot of options but it's pointless to have to reset every time. It also gets very hot which is a concern to us. Perhaps we should have done better research on which of these type of devices to get.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loving this Streaming Stick! Has nearly all the features of the Roku 3, but easier to bring with you to another TV in the house, to a friends, or on vacation. Found out that if you have trouble in a place - say a Timeshare, or Vacation Club - all you need to do is call the tech support of their internet and have them add your Roku internet ID to their rooster, BINGO it then will connect with ease. This may work at a hotel too, haven't tried it. One thing I would like is that it would arrange by category or alphabetical your apps....such a pain to take one by one and move it up, up, up, or down, down, down, side to side.

I couldn't afford a smart TV at this time and was using my computer to watch Netflix. Then I learned about Roku. Wow! This was easy to use and I love it!
