I've had mine over a month now and I am really enjoying the features. It is super simple to set up and get started watching with lots of programming choices available.
Was not expecting so much in a little package - got rid of cable 2 years ago and this is a great compliment to that descision - only con is that i should have gone for the roku 3
I think because of the design of you are moving the stick from one tv to another or to other playing devices the hdmi plug becomes lose and mine quit working. One of the corded devices may be a better choice.
I wish I had not even purchased this Roku stick. The stick itself works great but that nasty, cheaply-made, garbage controller that they include with it? Well, it's way less than is to be desired. They need to go back to the drawing board with the battery compartment. Even with fresh, out of the package batteries? The springs that hold the batteries in that tiny compartment are just really shoddy. I'm still thinking of taking this garbage back. It will anger you to no end having to keep resetting these two AAA batteries just to be able to access your Roku. We currently have a Roku 2 and a Roku 3 in the house but I hate this thing. Don't purchase it for your own sanity. Just ... Don't.
I had high expectations when I purchased this product. One of the reasons that I chose it over its chrome-cast rival was the remote control. When I discovered that the remote would not stay connected, I exchanged it and soon discovered that the replacement had the same issue with the remote. After researching the issue online I learned that ROKU knows about this issue and has done little, if anything to fix it. I now control my roku using a cell phone app. If I had wanted to do that, I would have bought the Google device.
I absolutely love the Roku streaming stick because it gives me so much to choose from! The convenience is overwhelming, in a good way. Roku is the best thing in TV watching.
