I bought Roku last month after having struggled numerous times trying to keep cable in the home thru Charter Communications which was to expensive. Having a 5 and 7 year -old I needed TV opportunities beside DVDs from the video store which can get pricing even with free kids movie, and they would get bored of there home DVD selection. I must say at there ages they are able to work the remote system better then I can as a 40 year old adult :) not sure if that is a pro or a con. I have found that tonight I was frustrated to find that so much under "You Tube", "Disney", and "Nick" were either locked or had to be paid for to watch. I would prefer that all those options were free considering the price of the device itself. An increase in availability of free showings, or at least make sure that the variety of the shows changes periodically like Charter On Demand would change there movie selections randomly.
I have had this Roku stick for almost a year now. It worked great at first. Then, all of a sudden, like others have said, it decided to not work anymore. Picture would flicker on and off. Replaced it with a Roku 1, but sure wish I hadn't wasted my money on it.
I have tried google chromecast, apple and my roku is only 1 or 2 and it blows the others out of the water. I can't imagine how they have made the 3 and. 4 better. I am finding new things it does almost daily . I can't wait till I'm able to buy roku 4. ROKU BEST AVAILABLE. ANYONE WHO IS UNDECIDED just try it. U won't b disappointed
