For something so inexpensive it's a real winner. I'm in my seventies and it was a challenge to get everything hooked up and in running order, but I did it by myself.

remote works intermittently

I was using Roku XS for 2 years before deciding to buy stick as a back up. The only complaint i have with Roku Sticks is its remote, which doesn't work fine. It works intermittently even after i replace batteries couple of times. If Roku is reading this review and can do something about it then please contact me.

Lag Problem

It's a great product but with the cheaper version of just the stick I have experienced some problems with lag between the controls on the remote and the actions on the screen. Other than that it works exactly how I would expect it to.

Difficulty connecting

Some of the time, the stick connects easily to my wi-fi and I'm able to enjoy my favorite shows trouble free. Most of the time I struggle to get it to connect to the wi-fi and get no shows at all. I know it's not the wi-fi because my other devices connect just fine. The only thing that seems to work is unplugging the Roku stick from the wall and then resetting it, and sometimes that doesn't even work. There doesn't seem to be any prediction of when it works and when it doesn't. I would not recommend buying this model. I will at some point buy a more expensive and hopefully reliable model. I have had this model for almost a year.

Great Concept -- With Problems!!

I purchased this device about a month ago. It is a good concept with some major issues. Almost every time it is used, I get a blue screen with a notice something like "unauthorized content, etc." I called tech service who where familiar with this problem. They had me reboot the stick which worked every time but one, that required a 2nd reboot. To reboot -- remove the stick and power -- wait 15/20 seconds -- re-plug both and cross fingers.
A second issue is the remote freezing. Periodically, this happens. I remove & reinstall the batteries and it is back to working.
After writing this review I'm questioning myself for not returning it.
When is occasionally does work without these problems it is very good, but !!!!!.

As of yet I haven't figured out all the features of the Roku. I have a hard time finding a decent move to watch. Most services you have to pay a subscription to. Sorry can't be much help as I am still learning. I bough this because I signed up for Netflix to watch Longmire. And thought I got a TV to watch Netflix but needed stick to make it all happen.
I would recommend this to a friend!
