I have not had a chance to use it yet. I have it set up on TV, but have had company in that bedroom and no chance to try it out. I think once I can use it, I will enjoy this little device.
I'm 83 years old, so I'm certainly not of the digital age. For years I had wished I could stream operas onto my 6-foot TV, and was constantly buying Blu-rays. It was so simple to plug my Roku into my TV and sign up for "Met Opera on Demand." I've been binging on operas ever since.
We bought this a month ago and are extremely satisfied! Mostly use it for Netflix and jw broadcasting. Has many interesting channels. Too bad I can't mirror my iPhone's internet browser- only internally stored pics and videos.
I really like my Roku Streaming Stick. I think it is simple to use, fast, compact. I would suggest it came with a small HDMI extension cord to fit all tvs (I had minor issues fitting it into my first Tv) and the power connector on the Stick were more sturdy and durable (I had an issue with it as well and had to have it exchanged). There could also be a better connection from tenge remote to the stick. Other than that, it's a great product.
I purchased two Roku Sticks for access primarily to Sling TV. Sling is having regular, ongoing, growth-related problems with their service (extremely frustrating)...and at times have pointed the finger at Roku as the issue. While it's nice to have a dedicated Roku connection to ESPN for example, and thus bypass the mess at Sling, the channel feed will still occasionally drop. Biggest complaint is that I have to log-in each/every time to view ESPN...about a 4 minute process as the stick does not retain my account information.
