It would be nice if Comcast or Charter could pair with this device, or if it was easier to find free programming that's more substantial than 3 minute documentaries on trains. There's so many things that the Roku could capitalize on, but I grew bored after an hour of being overwhelmed with pay-per-view programming that I barely wanted to watch. I will not be replacing cable with this device, which is what I got it for in the first place. If you have a network you want to watch programming from (Comedy Central for example) you have to link your cable company provider. I have Charter and used to have the mega company Comcast when I lived in Colorado, neither were choices on the menu. So I was only allowed previews and samples.
I've had my roku for a couple of months and am very much satisfied with it its very easy to operate and I love watching Netflix on my TV instead of my phone!
I bought this for myself and loved it. Now I have to return it because I received a streaming tv for Christmas. It's a wonderful device for streaming onto your tv.
Our firsto ne broke after a month, due to the cat rubbing up against it. Bought a second one and it's already bent as well but still working. The reason this is happening is due to the fact that the stick cannot fit in the HDM I 1 slot on the back where it would be flush with the smart tv. Instead it has to go into the side of the TV in the second port sticking out completely vulnerable. It needs to be shorter or the tv needs anew design
My son bought it for me as I'm not good with technical equipment. It took a short time to install and I used instantly. I really under use it as I don't fully understand some of the uses; but Netflix is my go to when I can't sleep and I know I use 4-5 times a week if not more.
