I purchased the Roku Streaming Stick to watch Amazon Prime because it was no longer available on my streaming box. I am still getting acquainted with Roku but so far so good. I am looking forward to learning about the various options with Roku.

Easy and simple

I bought the Round stick with the expectation of it being similar to chromcast. I was very surprised that it was more then just a streaming stick.
It has plenty of features and choices. I wish it gave me more international options. It restricts you to only options of your country. Wish it gave you more international viewing options.

terrible waste of money

worst purchase ever. fails to get internet connection and keep it. Keeps restarting due to lost internet connection. the problem is the roku device not the internet, have no problem with computer getting and keeping connection. Most channels require additional monthly charge, the roku was a definite waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy setup, UI needs standardization

It plugged into my TV and powered up without a hitch, and adding channels was a breeze. So was syncing my phone as a remote. I haven't found a set top box that handles phone/tablet remote as well as the roku.
What does bug me is that various channels seem to pick their own UI standards - HBO's text-entry works and looks different from Netflix's, etc. some keyboards are alpha, some are qwerty, and it makes entering data more annoying than it should. Also nearly all the available default themes are pretty visually busy - i'd prefer something much simpler for the comparatively low res of my TV..
