I'm loving roku

I've been using the Roku for a month now. I love that I can stream music, movies, pictures, and videos from my smartphone through the Roku stick. I like the variety of apps available. They need to add xfinity to the provider list on more apps.

Tremendous number of available stations available

I bought one of these last summer to try it out on the living room TV. It worked well enough (except for the remote control that locked up frequently) that I bought another one in December for the bedroom TV. I also have a Chromecast on the living room TV, which works well for casting media files from my phone and laptop. With the Roku you can search across channels. The Chromecast will not do that. The Roku works better to quickly change streaming video channels, and the Chromecast is a better and easier device to use for casting. Choose the one you want depending your viewing preferences. I like them both.

Still Learning But I Like It

I like being able to watch Netfix & listen to Pandora. Many of the stations show "B" movies with way too many ads. I can't afford cable and can't afford the extra fees to watch without ads. But I like being able to watch the free channels and stations I already have on my PC.

Easy streaming ans excellent

The roku is easier to use than the chrome stick. All of the programs an apps are easier to access. I also like it does need a wireless device like my phone to stream. Sometimes I enjoy not using my phone.
