I like the Roku 3500 streaming stick for its compact nature and portability, I'd like it even better if I did not have to plug a power cable into it to get it to work - It IS NOT functional like a Usb flash stick, the roku 3500 requires an external power outlet to function at all. Otherwise its good and works almost as well as I had expected; the response time of the screen mirroring will be awesome in the future with updates.
When we upgraded our TV and had it mounted to the wall, we were looking to cut the cord....literally. So our old TV and Roku 2 went to the guest bedroom and now we have all the functionality we want, minus one of those pesky wires.
We also travel a lot and are really excited to have a pocket-size Roku that will allow us to stream our favorites wherever we go, instead of huddling around the computer to watch online.
The only knock - and I admit this is less to do with the stick than the programming - is that we often have difficulty getting M-GO to accept payment, and have given up at this point. I'm only including this note because there's a star rating part of this review that deals with content/ease of use, and that has been a continual frustration.
I purchased this about a month back and enjoying the nice features that come with this. I like the USB power rather than plugging it into an outlet. The only issues with this are that the picture is not always HD - 80% of my viewing is a fuzzy, grainy picture. And about 2-3 times a movie it will actually buffer. Doesn't take long, it may pause about 3-4 seconds per buffering.
Iam not good with electronics i dont even own a cellphone because i cant figure them out but i had to try the Roku because i wanted the programs. It took about 4hrs to get hooked up because i was using the wrong remote but once i figured it out its the onlt thing i watch. I love my Roku & tell everyone to get it. thanks
