sometimes shuts off randomly

i bought this a couple of years ago, and it worked great for a good while, however after about a year it began to randomly freeze up, or just reboot. At times you can't even watch anything through it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I used to have access to Netflix through our Wii-- not ideal. Roku is solid, consistent and easy to use. Highly recommend it!

Brrh !!! Freezes up Often

Got my stick 'free' from Sling Tv for prepaying 6mths subscription. When it works its great but be prepared to re-register,often. O'Seas call centre(India) was quite helpful and got me back on the road after the first freeze up. Good selection of content but no Fox soccer2go if you like football.

Nice size; Poor performance

I own a Roku 4 and a couple of Roku 3's, but the Roku Stick does not begin to compare in performance, in my opinion. The Roku Stick struggles to stream live video. I finally had to unplug it and put it in a drawer. I replaced it with a Roku 3.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good, not great. Annoying at times

I really enjoy roku since I give up on cable, love all the channels option they have an all. It constantly gets stock though, specially the remote, have to reset all the time is annoying. The mandatory subtitle for Spanish shows aren't cool either. So good, not great!

Bad remote, poor quality

I have two of these, bought a year apart. Thought my problems with the first one were a fluke. Same problems with the second one, only much worse. Remotes don't work, have to re- pair constantly. Power cords fall out. Second one freezes more than the first, and it is closer to the router. Menu and functionality are akin to a 1983 VCR. Way too primitive for today's technology.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
