If you want easy access to streaming content and the convenience of a smart TV, this is the device for you. After getting past the remote learning curve, it works like a charm. I have already recommended it to friends.

Bought this-thank goodness. Easier to use than Chromecast, and I don't get kicked off and have to go through re-buffering like with my Blu-ray player. Love it.

Very east to install, Very easy to navigate! Only suggestion to the company is to make the remote a little bigger, easier to handle. Otherwise this is awesome.

Unfortunately I am downgrading review to 3 stars due to it was difficult to connect to my alternate TV which has only one HDMI port at the lowest center portion of the television. I was able to connect it, but it damaged the port to the point it makes a very loose connection.
As well, the Screen Mirroring (beta) function only connected once to my laptop and never to my smart phone. I have since purchased a Roku 3 and have been very satisfied. Unfortunately Roku only provides a 90 day warranty, so be sure to check on all devices asap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
