I got the Roku stick for Christmas which is a month ago today. I love the portability & movie channels-- however, it kills batteries. Already run through the set that came with it and another pair I bought. At this rate I'm going to spend more in batteries than the Roku cost.
I enjoy using the Roku streaming stick on our secondary TV. The device is easy to use and allows my 10 year old TV to act like a SmartTV. The streaming stick does seem to have some lag when searching channels for specific TV shows however once a TV show is found it is super easy to use and works flawlessly.
It had some installation "tricks" that I couldn't figure out but tech support was available (Tuesday evening, Pacific time) and they walked me through it....has worked great ever since.
I got this because we are trying to save money by NOT having cable. It aggravates me that I cannot watch certain episodes because I do not have a TV supplier!
