tried it for the first time several nights ago away from home.....worked fine after initial set up but much slower then my Roku box at home, therefore the 4 star's. Saying that it is wonderful to be to watch your Roku when you travel. on a whole a purchased my Roku products to save money and cutting cable, as long as streaming stays at a descent price range and doesn't creep up like the cable did.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I LOVED my ROKU when I first bought it several months ago. I was so happy with it that I purchased two more for other tvs in the house.....but now the first one purchased won't work...????? Upon looking for information to fix it, I discovered that this is a common problem with no resolve... :(

I have an older model Roku and wanted to add one to the bedroom, but without having to look at the roku box. The roku stick works just as well as the roku box (both wonderfully), and it's out of sight. A great decision!!

I got this as a Christmas gift and activated it 5 days later and it stopped working within a week. The remote stopped working a day after I activated it so I got the app which acted as a remote. That worked until the device resettled itself for no reason and the app remote was not able to work because it couldn't find the device because it wasn't "activated" yet because like I said earlier it resettled itself for no reason. The replacement remotes are expensive and there was no way it was worth it to buy another remote that might stop working for no reason as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pic quality compare to other is not good. Colors are off and clarity not their. Need better video chip. I returned mine.

too difficult to set up

You have to go to each channel's website on a computer and to create a profile to get a code to then enter on your TV thru Roku to be able to access it and it has to be done at the time the code is given to you. This is too time consuming and difficult to set up and use.

Best streaming device I have used yet

So far I have used the Roku Streaming stick, Google Chromecast, and an Apple TV (3rd gen). I have to say that I like using the Roku above the others. The remote is great, and the ease of adding channels is so smooth.
