Great product!

Does everything I had hoped for. The remote, while not backlit, is actually very intuitive, and I've learned the buttons by touch in a short time. The on-screen interface behaves exactly as I'd expect, and the smart phone app is a great add-on to a great product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Opens a Whole New World

This device unleashes a way of viewing that puts cable back in a box just like the antenna was surpassed by satellite dish and vcrs. View on your time with no pre-recording and checking schedules. Totally intuitive and convenient. You will never want to be without it.

Roku is magical... great experience... just taking back 1 star due to below issues which I am facing many times
1. Sometimes stick goes in hang mode... even though internet is working properly
2. Sometimes Remote doesn't work
3. No shutdown option ... this may be causing device hang.

I had the Chromecast but it kept buffering during movies. I met someone that has a Roku device, and they were telling me about how much they liked it. I have previously looked at the Roku devices, but just never got one. I guess I was worried about paying for something that might not work. I'm glad I got it. The Roku hasn't buffered during any movies. Its a lot easier and more convenient to use.

My Roku I gave as a Christmas present

I bought this as a gift to a friend for Christmas. I have to say at the beginning it started working very well. Don't know if it was my own Wifi or what but I have had trouble with it showing channels especially Netflix. I had to call Roku and reset the device three times and then I had to call my cable provider to switch the network and Wifi
I would recommend this to a friend!
