I have two Roku the stick and a 1. The stick is on a small TV in the kitchen. I like the compact size of the stick in this location. It was extremely simple to install and works pretty well. It is a bit hidden behind the TV so it seems that now and then I need to move my angle or click multiple times for it to respond. Also, I have a weak signal in my kitchen so some times reception just disappears. So not perfect, but I think most of the problems are caused by the location not the device. It is really delivering the performance I expected so 4 stars.
I bought this streaming stick to replace a previous Roku model. The streaming stick works great. Its the remote that doesn't work. I put the batteries in and no response. Took out the batteries, put them back in. It worked one time. Not anymore. I use my cell phone Roku app now to control the stick. It is a let down because those buttons at the bottom for instant access would have been a great feature to use. But its no use if the remote doesn't work.
Purchased to replace a Wii as a streaming device, far more useful in this regard, and an excellent value in general as a streaming media device. I haven't had any issues with the performance at all. Channel options are quite abundant.
I bought this about 2 months ago and we are just starting to use it more and more. I love that I feel like I have cable again and dont have a monthly bill. I can watch my Netflix and Amazon prime plus a few other select channels. I would like to see a few more free channels though. The one downside is that the remote sucks bit time. It wont pair and when it does it only stays paired for a few minutes. After reading many reviews this seems to be a known problem. We fixed this issue however by downloading the app for our smart phones and we just use them and the app works flawlessly!
