Great Product!

Our family really enjoys this product. We purchased an Apple TV (similar technology) a few years back before we'd ever heard of this Roku device...or maybe the Roku wasn't even around yet. All I know is that the Roku cost was 60% less and easier to use.
We have since purchased 3 more Roku Streaming Sticks in the past 6-months to cover a total of 4 TV's in our home because we love what it can do and it's affordable. Our family says thank you!

Got this for Xmas. It is small, easy to set up, and has a wide variety of content. Some channels have more advertisements than others.

My wife-bought Christmas present works great but blocks out the television's controls via console or remote requiring the set be unplugged even to be turned off, let alone adjusted for volume or channel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

fills a niche

Christmas present. Fairly manageable installation, easy to use. Since we buy premium channels with cable tv service, the add-ons for such as HBO, Showtime etc made it relatively easy to view archived content without actually needing a hardware recorder in the system - the streaming is generally good enough. Once a few setup hiccups were solved and a couple system resets later the functions worked pretty well. Took the stick along when traveling internationally and mistakenly thought the android app was enough to do the setup - no luck. It seems the Roku's own remote was the only way to do the network knitting, so will know better next time (or maybe by the time I travel again the app will have a deeper feature set that will include that function). Overall a pretty good value for the features.

Great device although not a speed demon.

I already have a Roku 3 which is amazing and super fast so I was a little let down with the streaming stick. It's not near as fast as the Roku 3 but it only costs half of what the 3 costs. If you have the extra money get the Roku 3 but if not you will be more than happy with the streaming stick. Basically the only difference I can tell between the Roku 3 and the streaming stick is the speed. Other than that everything seems to be the same. Also there's no headphone jack on the streaming stick remote for private viewing. With all that being said I'm still happy with the streaming stick. My daughter uses it in her room and I use the 3 because it is faster.

Excellent Product

My first experience with any "Smart TV" product. Have been exceptionally pleased with the many possibilities and options now a available on my TV. This product was easy to integrate with my existing 7 year old TV. Formatted in a way that makes it easy to use with either the remote provided or directly off my I phone with the free app. Would highly recommend this product!

I have a Roku 3 on another TV in my home. I purchased the stick for a TV in another room. For what I use it for, I have noticed no difference in ease of use or quality. I use it primarily for PBS, U tube, Netflix and occasionally other channels.
