Huge Amount of Content Available

I received this as a Christmas present from my wife. I have been amazed at the amount of content available with this device. Most cable channels have Roku apps where you can watch their content on demand. The built-in, on-screen navigation is much easier to use than Chromecast. Overall, this is an excellent device and I highly recommend it.

Disappointing

I bought this streaming stick because my original Roku of a few years was starting to act up and some of the apps were also really old (the apps are better when you get a newer Roku). I have to say, I'm really disappointed in the responsiveness of this stick. It's got a lag that didn't exist on my previous models. It causes you to double click because you think the first click didn't work. It's a bit of a nuisance. I also do not like the remote. I love the original because it has hard plastic buttons and the resistance of the buttons tells you very clearly if you pressed the button or not. This remote is less tactile with rubber buttons that are more flush to the remote. So less feeling and slower response from the Roku makes you end up mashing the buttons over and over again and it's frustrating! With the old setup, I could blindly press the buttons and without looking at the screen know that my click did exactly what I wanted. This new one takes some careful observation!
On the positive side, it's super easy to install and I tend to take it with me on trips. Fits in my pocket. The updated apps are sleaker and I appreciate that it automatically moves on to the next episode.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to install

Very quick install. Once logged in, all my account settings came over. Was disappointed that some of the freebies didn't apply because I ws already a user.

Remote doesn't always work

Sometimes the remote control is slow to respond. Sometimes it stops working completely. Several times I had to disconnect the power to the Roku stick, and then reconnect the power in order to get the remote to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
