great alternative to other tv services

I recently bought the roku stick and i am very happy with it. With the easy interface of the main menu to the quality of stream you get with the roku, it is no wonder why more people are switching to wifi streaming. With more channels and updates being in the works, ot can only get better. I recommend this to anyone.

It will not connect to the Internet. When I go into setting it says it is connected. But no apps come up it says it is not connected.

Nice features, some flaws

I bought this about a month ago. I love the amount of channels available and the quality of the picture and sound. One problem I have been having is intermittently the sound will not work, this seems to happen when it has been perating a while and the stick gets hot. Unplugging it and plugging back in resolves the problem.

A good backup

I have a Roku 3 and love it for a variety of reasons: quick/responsive, headphone support, channel selection. The streaming stick offers the same channels but is slow to respond to the remote's controls and does not offer the headphone option. On top of that though, our remote stopped working about a month after purchasing it which has relegated us to use the roku app on our phones to control the tv w/the streaming stick. I would not recommend the stick to anyone except those who are on a super tight budget or would like a device to travel with.
