Thought it would work better

I bought this because I loved the Roku 2 XD that we have had for several years. But the streaming stick is slow to respond to the remote and slow to load.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Getting started to trying to watch Netflix

Took numerous times to get it started, even a techie had to do it multiple times. Then watching Netflix it would stop and go back to the Roku beginning and you had to sign in again. Took it back to the store and got a complete refund. However I do have a smart Roku TV and it works just fine, no issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the stick so that I could easily transfer between my upstairs for tv show watching to the basement for working out with the Beachbody On Demand. So far I have spotty reception for Comedy Central and Beachbody. Hopefully this is more related to my internet connection or the apps themselves. The Netflix seems to work okay.

Had my PC hooked to my TV for tv watching. Since my hdd went out I decided to try this as an alternative. Wish I had done it sooner. Simple and easy to hook up and with Netflix and Foodnetwork, I am one happy camper.

Best Streaming!

We bought this as a replacement for our Xbox. We love this and all the features. I like browsing youtube by contecting it with my phone. My tablet has an app for the remote. Wonderful!

I bought this a little over a month ago and I'm so glad I did. I'm still finding channels and it works great with Netflix, etc.

The Remote control really is un-usable

The remote is more irritating because it works just often enough to make you mad.
The problem has to do with the frequencies. The only way to get the remote working is to remove at least 1 battery wait a few seconds and put it back in. Whats more, is that I bought Roku because they have been around the longest in this market of streaming. You would think that Roku would have some kind of patch to fix this. They do Not! And quite frankly, I know that I could use my Phone as a remote, But when I come home from work, It goes on the charger. Besides, Even if it didn't, I would have to navigate to the Roku app each time I wanted to use it. There are only 2 items that come with the Roku stick. 1/2 of the product doesn't work.

I've been through the forums and researched there is no hard fix only workarounds such as removing the batteries. This is a common problem.
I have 3 Roku devices and the best working remote they have is the roku 3 remote. It's awesome! For some reason Roku did include a "Netflix" button on the Roku 3 Remote.
To Roku: Why why let Amazon fire stick get their foot in your Door?
This "stick" is just way too easy to set up for you to loose this market.
