I bought the Roku streaming stick 2 months ago and it is working great! I have 100 mps internet and it doesn't seem to be slow when switching to netflix or amazon prime like some of the reviews seem to indicate. Click and I am there. Happy so far.
I love my roku. I only have one complaint. I dont understand why there is a special button on the remote for some "radio" channel that doesnt even work anymore
I am soooooo happy I bought this stick. I made my plain TV smarter than a smart TV. I love it so much I tell everybody about it. My friend and brother bought it. Bye bye cable over charger.
The setup is a bit more frustrating than other reviewers have stated but is not complicated or hard to understand. One thing you should know is that the normal setup requires that you use a credit card, but if you want to sign up without a credit card you can go to this link: https://my.roku.com/signup/nocc and when it ask you for your credit card info it will give you a SKIP option at the bottom of the page. I have used an Android stick in the past and had currently been using a computer for entertainment under the assumption that a computer would certainly offer more entertainment options than a tiny Roku dongle, I was completely wrong. Roku is completely awesome and has a feel that is more like a digital television box than a computer or an Android box. I have yet to try Chromecast or a Firestick but from everything I have seen so far as a new Roku user Roku is the only game in town, and I am a very tech savvy Linux geek and I design my own custom Android roms and Linux distros so these kinds of devices don't impress me that often. Take my word when I say if you are looking for an alternative to digital cable or just an expansion of your digital entertainment Roku will make you blissfully happy.
