Not happy with the remote

I have now had my device for a month and can not use the remote. My device has to be plugged into the back of my tv so it is blocked by the screen.

excited about special channels

Got this for Christmas and did not know what to expect. Easy setup and straight foward remote. My son is autistic and I was excited to see a special channel just on that topic. Of course it is easy to axcess my favorites, Hulu & Netflix along with several others. I like that you can customize your channels, but would like to be able delete suggested shows & shows i "watch" the list has become so long. Anyhow, i still like it a lot!

I bought this to go with my non-smart TV in December 2015. Best choice ever! And it's portable. Love my roku. The only issue is that you have to have a cable provider to truly take advantage of the Riki stick. So take it on vacation if you want to keep up to date on shows or to watch movies.

Roku has changed the way I watch content. It's like all of your favorite subscriptions and streaming services, available in one place.
I even bought one for my brothers and Dad for Christmas and both say it blows Amazon Firestick out of the water. It's just a great way to centralize your favorite streaming channels (Netflix, HBO Now, Showtime, Hulu) all in one place!
Love it, couldn't imagine watching my shows without it!

Got this at Sam's online. The set up took sometime because it never said to set it up on HDMI. I move it around between two TVS and use my Android as a remote on one. We already have Netflix and they give you 3 months free on Hulu. Worth ever penny.

Good Channel Options

There is a nice selection of channels on the device but I do have issues with the remote randomly not working even with new batteries I have to pull the batteries out of the remote and put them back in to get to respond. I also have an issue with after it gets done playing a show on Hulu or Netflix the screen just goes black and I have to go back to the home menu and start again to watch the next show.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To many choices

Purchased this product a month ago because I couldn't connect our AppleTV to the network at this resort. At first the Roku would not connect to the network here but finally did when I answered the question, are you connecting at a hotel or resort. From this point on the device created its own network and I could connect. Everything works fine now but the only complaint is that it could be faster but that could be the main networks fault.
I would recommend this to a friend!
