I bought this player a few months ago and finally hooked it up. I like it a lot but may also purchase the Roku 2 because it's a little faster.

Best Gift Ever

I love love my Roku , I received for Mothers day last year, I just connected it. I just followed all the prompts wa laa it was up and running. I love the variety of movies and programs I can choose and I like getting information via email of free channels that are available to me. I just have to figure out how to get rid of cable and it would be perfect. I want another Roku and will probably give one to someone I love

I purchased the Roku Stick about 1 month ago. Love it! I must admit, the first try in my home network wasn't successful. I tried in a friends home and it worked perfect. The issue is my network provider… Comcast Xfinity. I still haven't figured out how to get it working at home. I ended up giving it to my daughter as a gift. Anyway, I own a Stick and the original Roku 1 and looking forward to purchasing a Roku 3 shortly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great idea with a catch

Great idea, great selection of channels, slow processing power within the stick. Lags upon startup. Good but not great product. Probably should have boughten the Roku 3 or a newer device.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this product, but the only problem I have is with the remote. The top two buttons no longer work, preventing me from being able to exit a screen and returning to the home menu.

I received my Roku as a Christmas gift, I don't have cable or a dish so it's a easy way to get movies when I want to watch them.

I've been watching movies and television shows on my MacBook, but I love the fact that I can now watch on my 42" T.V. Great picture and absolutely no trouble getting reception from my internet.
