the device works properly, but pretty much everything is reruns, no live tv. so to see cbs nbc abc fox, in real time i view them for free in hd by air broadcast and history channel, discovery, ect. on cable
I bought this about a month ago just to try it out, now I wouldnt want to be without it, it has great features and so many channels and movies and shows to choose from I don't even miss my cable anymore!!
I bought it almost a year ago. It worked nicely first. Last few months I can not start it normally. Almost everyday I have to unplug it and plug it back to make it work, or I have to pair a remote very often, It takes a lot of time and becomes unbearable.
Our kids bought this for us & they set it up on our TV, however we don't know how to get anything on our computer. So we aren't using it very much. We'd rather use it on the computer (because our office is cozy).
I bought a Roku stick not long ago, and I am very pleased with the experience. Setup was a breeze. I was not able to power the USB Stick from the television, even though the TV had a USB jack, but no bother. Powering the Stick from A/C is OK. I have a Roku 2, Roku 3 and now the Stick. It seems the Stick is a bit slow, compared to the other Roku devices, but not so slow to be unbearable. Once it locks on a channel, all is well. I like the One-Button chooser for Netflix on the remote, which is what I mainly use the Roku for. Overall, very happy with my purchase.
The stick itself is not very secure in the HDMI port and the weight of it and it Power cable causes the stick to not have a good connection. Also it is not very clear which is a free channel and which is not.
