Not so much!!!

We have newer HD televisions and they (we purchased 2) work like junk in them. The cord on one of the causes our television to keep resetting itself.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Streaming Stick

I purchased the Roku stick for my outdoor, wall-mounted, TV. That way, I didn't have to worry about where to mount the "puck version" of any of the other Roku streamers. In addition to the stick, I have a Roku HD and a Roku 3. They're all great, and I love that they can stream just about any content, even Amazon's. I'll be ordering another Roku for another TV, shorty.

Like Roku don't like HBONow cuts out and freezes my roku

Cheap, needs a way to have Eathernet support and I don't think it has Bluetooth support either.

works for Netflix.....

I bought this for our TV in our bedroom so that we could watch Netflix and other shows on our older TV. Works great for netflix, streaming quality is amazing. However, when I try and watch someone on their other channels (CW for example) it buffers and freezes so much it's not worth it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I didn't realize it used so much of my data plan. I spent $1,000 before I knew what was causing the increase in my jet pak bill. Nor did I realize that many network have a monthly fee. I thought this would help decrease my satelite bill by providing extra channels.

I asked for this for Christmas. We got tired of paying for satellite TV so just have antenna now. Roku gives me many viewing options. Subscribed to Hulu & can watch current tv the next day if I miss an episode. Don't miss recording option from satellite & much cheaper!
